Crazy Weekend!

I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend! I hope to catch up with posts in the next 2 weeks, I'm way behind. Here's the quick version of our weekend...5 of Hubs' friends stayed with us Friday night through Monday morning. It was fun to have people staying with us and show them around and I know Hubs was so thankful to be with some of his long time friends.
If 7 people sharing 1 bathroom isn't crazy enough, I also hosted a baby shower/luncheon on Sunday afternoon. Yeahhh, it was really crazy. The guys were literally leaving the house as the guests were arriving for the shower. The only sad thing about that is I didn't get any pictures of the food or decorations before people got here because I was rushing around so much! I asked Hubs to take a picture of the mantel before he left, although one clothespin is missing so you can't really see one of the onesies.
If we ever have a girl, I am making the ruffle onesie again. I just can't get over how cute it is! I used this tutorial (the second option if you don't have a serger). I will admit it was a bit time consuming since I had to hem the edges of each of the ruffles, but I love the final product!

As soon as the guys left on Monday we headed to San Jose to see some friends, play frisbee, and watch fireworks. I wasn't sure about going since we had such a packed weekend, but I'm really glad Hubs talked me into it. We had a great time there (as always) and made it back around midnight (I think) Monday night.

I had to work Tuesday but Hubs didn't so he ran some errands and we both had kind of a lazy evening. Today is major catch-up day! Laundry, cleaning, more laundry, and blog stuff (ok this post is actually being written as a bunch of clean clothes are sitting on the couch behind me so there's still more laundry to come).

I have a few posts to catch up on including my first attempt at cake pops and the dress I made for my niece Lena! Oh and I'm going to try to make a pair of shorts before we go to Disneyland on Saturday, so stay tuned!
